With our love to Smiling Friends, we are committed to rewrite and produce an animated ID features Pim and Charlie, we made a little tale of how does Charlie's bestie, Pim brings him back in life.

When Heibai Wuchang {黑白无常} is trying to take Charlie away, Pim’s deeply saddened, but also determined to help his best friend.

* A mini-wiki : { The Heibai Wuchang, or Black and White Impermanence } the most well-known pair of Deities from Chinese religion, they're in charge of escorting the spirits of the dead to the underworld. With a touchy fact that in their previous lives, they used to be the best friends to each other as well.

So, why 10 Charlie bugs?

Tracing back to Chinese Daoism, there's a method of bringing the dead back to life: Collecting "三魂七魄" (Three Souls and Seven Spirits) and placing them back into the body can resurrect the person from the dead. This leads to Pim's soul-collecting adventures in the woods.
